THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST INTRODUCTORY COURSE Hyperbaric Medicine | 40 Hour Course

Join us for a 4-day, 10 hour/day course in February 2020.

This  introductory course is approved by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society and meets the minimum training guidelines for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and technicians who seek to enter the field of hyperbaric medicine. A unique format exposes attendees to hyperbaric medicine programs in both Portland, OR and Seattle, WA and includes exposure to both monoplace and multiplace hyperbaric chamber operations.This course spans four 10-hour sessions (option to select individual days are available, but are not eligible for ICHM certification) and exposes attendees to state of the art facilities in multiple hyperbaric facilities. The course curriculum includes didactic, hands-on sessions, and clinical case presentations.

Target Audience:
Physicians, Nurses, CHT/DMT/EMT, other Allied Health Professionals interested in hyperbaric medicine.

 
Course Objectives:
Participants should be able to gain a basic understanding of the physics and physiology of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, as well as the currently accepted indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The focus of the course is to provide a broad base of knowledge for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals who seek to understand the field of hyperbaric medicine. Participants will have the opportunity to have hands-on experiences with a variety of hyperbaric equipment in two separate hyperbaric facilities. Patient safety, safe facility operations, and clinical best-practices will be emphasized throughout the course.

Registration Fee:
$895.00 per attendee full course or $250.00 per selected day(s). 

Registrant is responsible for transportation between hotels and meetings.
