Job Summary: The Maintenance and Safety Technician will provide all necessary maintenance, repairs and logistics, including new installations, of the company’s mono-place hyperbaric oxygen chambers under direct supervision of the VP of Planning and Development and the corporate safety officer. In addition to hyperbaric chamber maintenance, logistics, and installations, the Maintenance and Safety Technician will perform, from time to time, as directed by the VP of Planning and Development, the repair and maintenance of unit equipment, installations of new equipment, moving of equipment, and transporting equipment. The Maintenance and Safety Technician will work as a team member in close coordination with the corporate safety office and the Senior Maintenance Technicians.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, repair, installation and moving of hyperbaric oxygen chambers and unit medical equipment throughout the company portfolio of locations. Specific area of focus will be determined by the needs of the company, however all areas of the country can be assigned from time to time as necessary.
- Installation, positioning, and set up of new equipment and furniture in new and existing units.
- Oversight of facility Safety Director’s compliance with all RXH safety policy and procedure as assigned.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment when needed
- Assist in coordinating outside services
- Inspects, cleans and tests equipment for functionality, following approved written procedures
- Assists with inventory management/tracking
- Resolves customer complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Serves to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, policies and procedures governing health care facilities
- Stays up to date on the medical equipment in our fleet.
- Utilizes appropriate safety equipment when necessary.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports
- Willing to travel extensively with overnight travel.
- Able to dialogue with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.
- Understands and uses effective conflict resolution skills, e.g., identifies and resolves service concerns, discrepancies and disagreements.
- Ensures prompt and courteous service is delivered to all customers in person and in all communications.
- Shares information with all team members to improve ability to service customers and define opportunities for the district team.
- Safely loads, secures and delivers medical equipment to customers.
- Educates and engages customers at the time of delivery, detailing customers on the features and functionality of the equipment,
- Assists with inventory management.
- Resolves customer complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Minimum high school diploma or GED required. Four-year college degree preferred
- Successful completion of Sechrist Industries and Perry Baromedical technical training school for maintenance and repair of mono-place hyperbaric chambers within first three (3) months of starting this position
- Maintaining annual factory certifications
- Advanced working knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and mono-place chamber operation
- Active and in good standing CHT Certification or on the path to CHT preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
- Possesses quality orientation with a “get it right the first time” attitude
- Complies with patient privacy laws in all matters
- Maintains and projects confidence, enthusiasm and a professional image
