The Wound Care Course

This 12-hour program is a course in wound care designed to help physicians, nurses, physical therapists and other health care professionals to understand the principles of modern, moist, interactive wound care and application of advanced therapeutic technologies. A case-based approach will be used to examine the principles of treating the underlying cause in pressure ulcers, vascular insufficiency, chronic venous insufficiency, and diabetic/neuropathic foot ulcers. The curriculum includes classroom instruction and hands-on sessions. It is offered at the Nix Medical Center in downtown San Antonio, Texas. This course is followed by a 5-day Hyperbaric Medicine Team Training Course.
